TheVulnerability Senior Engineering position is part of a team who delivers worldclass compliance and security-focused solutions to SecureWorks VulnerabilityManagement customers. The Engineer will work with the Vulnerability ManagementEngineering Team to act as point of contact regarding technical issues, andwill work closely with the team to drive issues to resolution.
Thisindividual should be knowledgeable of vulnerability management tools andprocesses, and demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and appropriatelywith clients. Positions are on a shift schedule and the shift can varydepending on staffing needs.
-Contributesto the development of new functionality and processes for the Vulnerability
-Managesprojects and sees they are carried out through to completion
-Developsinnovative and creative ways to carry out strategic business and teamobjectives
-Mentorsother team members to provide thought leadership and guidance
-Managesvendor relationships for day to day operations
-Createand deliver presentations to the team as well as other internal teams
-Demonstratestrong technical analytical skills while providing accurate analysis ofsecurity related
-Incumbentshave a well-rounded security background, are client focused and work to resolveall
clientneeds in a timely manner
-ProvidingVulnerability Assessment Scanning and guidance, PCI ASV Scanning, FalsePositive
Validation,Attestation Signing, Compliance Scanning and policy creation using theQualysGuard
PolicyCompliance Suite and Web Application Scanning using the Qualys WAS Suite
-Reviewscan findings with clients and provide technical and business recommendationsfor
-Stay informed of current events in the security industry including thelatest exploits and threats, as wellas, preventative measures and remediation
As amanaged security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand andapply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge ofapplicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected toacknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining accessto company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledgeof local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.
-6 years of experience in a technical security support role with 5 yearsLinux/Unix, Windows, and
-Experiencewith Vulnerability management platforms such as QualysGuard, nCircle IP360,Rapid 7
-Experiencewith network and application security testing tools and scripting languagesNessus,
Nmap,Paros, Perl, Python
-Abilityto manage multiple individual and group projects from conception to delivery,and interact
withmembers of cross-functional team, reach consensus, and show results
-Excellentverbal and written communication skills
-Strongtechnical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate andinspire team members
-Bachelorin Computer Science or another relevant technical field
-PCIASV, CISSP or QSA certification
-Performmanual validation of findings using tools like OpenSSL, ikescan, Burp, etc.
-Providetechnical authority, vision, documentation of operational procedures andguidance to
ensure thecontinued evolution of SecureWorks Managed Vulnerability offerings
-Participatingin a rotating On Call Schedule
-Dedicationto client service and passion for learning and security
-Excellentproblem solving skills and keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technicalissues
-Retainingownership of escalated issues and work to resolution
-Workclosely with Product Management, Development, and QA to identify client and SOCproduct
andsupport needs, assist in defining product delivery schedules, developinghigh-level product
definitions, writing functional requirements, translating therequirements into interface design, and navigating the functional requirements through to launch
-Investigateand document ways to provided added value for our current service offerings
-Facilitateproblem solving and collaboration
-Participatein Product Management initiatives to improve our service offerings
